Mediaset: Rangnick agrees three-year deal to become Milan boss – Maldini has been told

Only the official announcement is missing, but it is now certain that Ralf Rangnick will land at Milan in the coming weeks.

We have continuously reported since earlier in the year via Vito Angele that Rangnick will indeed agree a role as manager – that is the double responsibility of head coach and the man in charge of the transfer market.

According to SportMediaset on Tuesday (via MilanNews), the German will take up a role as both head coach and the technical director, thus also taking care of the transfer market.

He will sign a three-year contract, and the outlet adds that his name has been around for some time as Elliott Management Corporation and CEO Ivan Gazidis have been working since the beginning of the year to bring him to Milan.

Gazidis has already communicated the decision to Paolo Maldini, current manager of Milan’s technical area, with a decision to arrive regarding his future before the 2020-21 campaign.
