Ralf Rangnick’s arrival at AC Milan is all but confirmed. By the looks of it, the German will leave the Red Bull empire and arrival at the club is certain. However, there are still some question marks to solve.
According to SportMediaset (via Milanlive.it), there is still a lot to solve with regards to the project for next season. In fact, Rangnick’s role hasn’t even been defined yet, with rumours suggesting that he could appoint Julian Nagelsmann as head coach.
However, the TV broadcaster quickly denied this as Nagelsmann isn’t attracted by the idea of joining Milan. Furthermore, if he were to leave RB Leipzig, then he would have many other offers on the table.
In other words, Rangnick will take on a double role as head coach and director of the technical area. In the next meeting between the German and CEO Ivan Gazidis, other issues will be addressed, such as the expiring contract of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
In short, only one certainty and many question marks as Milan’s future seems more complicated than the resumption of the season.
