Messias reiterates Milan will play ‘as a team’ vs. Napoli amid Leao’s absence

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the big game between AC Milan and Napoli, Junior Messias spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the task at hand. He urged his teammates to play as a team this evening.

The Brazilian will start on the bench but will almost certainly make an appearance, seeing as the likes of Rafael Leao, Ante Rebic and Divock Origi are all unavailable. Rade Krunic got the nod for the starting spot, with Alexis Saelemaekers to the right.

Speaking to DAZN (via MilanNews), Messias briefly spoke about the game: “Leao’s absence? We play as a team. Leao is one of the strongest in Serie A, we will miss him, but we will try to do our best. Even when we lack someone, we try to make up for it with team play.”
