Tuttosport: Midfielder set to remain at Milan in January

By Euan Burns -

French midfielder Yacine Adli is set to remain at AC Milan in January rather than be loaned out to gain more first team experience, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the 22-year-old midfielder is going to remain a part of Stefano Pioli’s squad for the remainder of the season despite the fact that he has had a limited impact so far.

He was signed by Milan in the summer of 2021 and immediately loaned back to Bordeaux. He then came back to Milan for the 2022/23 season but has had limited involvement so far.

He has only made four appearances in Serie A as the current crop of Milan midfielders are much stronger, but Pioli would still like to keep him in the squad.

He would likely be one of the first beneficiaries of any injury to the likes of Sandro Tonali, Ismael Bennacer and Tommaso Pobega.
