Vitiello: ‘Milan are accelerating’ – the latest on Origi and Scamacca

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are pushing ahead in their attempts to sign Divock Origi on a free transfer while they have hit a hurdle in their pursuit of Gianluca Scamacca, it is claimed.

Speaking on his YouTube channel (via Francesco Nasato), Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews confirmed that ‘Milan are accelerating contacts with Origi’s agents’ and have held new talks with them in the last few hours.

He adds that the feeling coming from inside Casa Milan is confidence that this operation can get done, giving Stefano Pioli a striker in his prime years (26) who is versatile (can play as a winger) and comes from a top club.

Gianluca Scamacca is a player that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara ‘like a lot’ but it is ‘very difficult’ to imagine signing him at the amount being requested by Sassuolo. He scored his 13th league goal of the season in last night’s 4-1 rout of Spezia.
