CM: Milan ask about unhappy Chelsea defender during Joao Felix talks – the situation

In recent years AC Milan have often picked up the phone and called Chelsea when in need of a player, and they have done the same again.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Milan directors are working on several fronts to try to satisfy the requests of Sergio Conceição who has asked for three or four signings in January to bolster a squad that is stretched.

The focus is mainly on an attacking department that needs new options to solve their scoring problem. Plan A has become Santiago Gimenez, with an attempt being made to bring forward a move that was lined up for the summer.

An alternative is Joao Felix, but despite the great pressure put on by Jorge Mendes by Chelsea, there has not yet been an opening over a loan deal. The Blues do not believe that it would be a good decision given they paid €52m to sign him from Atletico Madrid.

At present, the London club have only one free slot for outgoing loan players. The dialogue between the parties is still ongoing and developments are expected in the next few hours, and there is another name that the Rossoneri like.

On Thursday we will understand if Strahinja Pavlovic will indeed leave for Fenerbahce, and if he does go then Geoffrey Moncada would have to replace the Serbian defender with another defender at a low cost, in addition to Kyle Walker.

One idea leads to Saba Goglichidze of Empoli, but they have spoken with Chelsea about Axel Disasi, a 26-year-old French central defender who would like to leave and get more playing time.

There is strong competition and Enzo Maresca wants to keep him, but Moncada admired him when he was at Monaco and the player would certainly evaluate the idea of joining.

  1. Moncada and his French links, has he even seen this guy play !! He is almost as bad as Emerson ??!
Moncada really needs to learn there is more out there than the French !!

    1. Moncadas reports are dated and no longer current or valid, it shows with the acquisitions he made. That is why Maldini and Massara challenged him. He is a scout, evaluator, not a planner and decision maker.

    2. Don’t you get it? Thr article said that we need low cost player to replace Pavlo. So those moncada’s balls are looking for cheap defender out there

    3. That’s the truth. If Moncada sees this guy as good then from today I labelled Moncada as the person that doesn’t know what he is doing. With this kind of guy Milan will never be good. Rubbish

  2. No idea how good or bad the player is but how would Axel Disasi be a low cost option as he was bought for 45 mil euros in 2023 and has a long contract and still has a high valuation at 30 mil according to Transfermarkt.
I smell a rotten fish here as Chelsea certainly would want to recoup a great deal of what they paid for the Frenchman.

      1. Not much but wasn’t Felix bought in 2024 at a higher fee so obviously Chelsea would have to recoup a larger amount of cash in the event of sale. Either way both deals seems unlikely to me.

        1. Oh sure. What I simply meant was that both would require a high fee for a recovery, even if Felix is ultimately higher.

  3. Every time we ho to market we dilute the squad because we are wanting bargain basement players and then Management place stress on the team if they dont perform but every year they are more limited.Being penny wise and pound foolish. I say again that mamagement just look at bottom line without considering their intellectual property taking a knock as everytime the buy players for higher price and then when they dont perform their valuebfrops resulting in losses for the club.Rather take the total available budget and buy two or even 1 decent player at a premium value rather than trying to buy 4 players at bottom end values. Then shopping in England and paying in pounds instead of in Italy for players already settled in in Serie A means a safer bet that you are going to get return on your investment.

  4. French players, French players everywhere. Whenever we need a solution for the squad, Moncada be like “so here is this French player I have been following for a while now…” Every fckng single time.

  5. Apologies my last sentence implies that we should rather buy in Italy for Italian players preferably which will help correct our DNA or foreign players in Italy as you are then saving on exchange rates and players are settled in.Better option. As we are changing managers quicker than players it also foes not make sense to have each manager chose players from their past teams as this will just be undone by the mext manager who may not rate such player same as previous manager.

  6. The price is low because Diasi is a disaster! My son loves Chelsea so I watch a lot of their games. Also, Felix is a player that looks good but doesn’t produce. He’s had chances at Athletico and Chelsea. Real chances meaning getting significant game time. There’s a reason he only plays now against English Championship level teams. The reason- he’s not that good.
