AC Milan face some strong competition from abroad in the race to land Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, according to reports.
Calciomercato.com reported that on Friday there will be a meeting between the Rossoneri management and agent Edgardo Lasalvia, who controls the interests of several interesting clients including Darwin Nunez, who continues to impress with the Lisbon club.
According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri are indeed interested in signing Nunez who could leave Benfica within a year of having arrived there from Spanish side Almeria, but Milan are not the only club who want him.
In addition to the Diavolo, Nunez is attracting the strong interest of Borussia Dortmund, which consider the Uruguay international as the man who could be the heir to Erling Haaland, who continues to be repeatedly linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side.
Meanwhile, Record in Portugal (via SportWitness) are claiming that Lasalvia had meetings with Premier League sides to discuss a potential transfer for Nunez and the trio who have shown strongest interest in him are Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle United, with a €50m asking price set.
