CM: Milan working ‘confidently’ to sign Monaco midfielder with decision imminent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not giving up on signing teenage Monaco midfielder Mamadou Coulibaly and should find out soon if they have got him, a report claims.

Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews and La Gazzetta dello Sport both stated that Milan scouts have Mamadou Coulibaly of Monaco’s academy in their sights, who has been compared to Camavinga by many.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com then added last month that Milan are indeed pushing ahead in their attempts to sign the 17-year-old having presented their project to his family and his entourage, with Coulibaly ‘fascinated’ by what was put forward to him.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are working ‘confidently’ to sign the teenager but he has not yet made a final decision on his future, and his call is expected in the next few days. Milan will be hoping to repeat the Pierre Kalulu operation as they signed him from Lyon before he’d made a senior appearance.

  1. Sign him fast while cheap, this kid have potential to play on double pivot or 3 midfield. Low risk ,high gain if success.
