MN: Milan must send statement with defender signing – the truth regarding Bremer-Pobega swap rumours

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the market for a new centre-back and have a Torino man in their sights but they will not use a young midfielder as a trading chip, a report claims.

According to the latest from MilanNews, the management believe that the ideal profile to cover for the exit of Simon Kjaer is Sven Botman of Lille, while Bremer of Torino is also admired, but the directors need to put real money on the table in order to send a strong signal that they are determined to strengthen the team.

Regarding the rumours of a potential swap deal between Milan and Torino involving Bremer and Pobega, there is no truth. Milan have no intention of using the 22-year-old as a bargaining chip and he will return to the base in the summer and will serve the team as he is a player trained in the club.

In addition, he will come back after a year of training and maturation under head coach Ivan Juric and the fruits are already showing given his excellent performances this season.
