Tuttosport: Milan have set their financial limit for Diaz’s permanent signing

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan have decided that they will not spend more than €13-15 million on making Brahim Diaz’s loan deal permanent, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are keen on making Diaz’s loan move from Real Madrid permanent but would like a reduced price.

He is coming towards the end of a two-year loan deal with the Rossosneri and the current agreed price for him to permanently become a Milan player is €22 million.

Milan want that to be lowered to a figure of around €13-15 million as they feel that is more representative of what he is worth to both teams.

There has been no suggestion from the player that he does not want to stay, and there has been no suggestion from Real Madrid that they are awaiting his return to come back into the first team.

It is a negotiation that may rumble on until the end of the season.

  1. I think Milan will not even spend 13 mils. They would like just request extending the loan for Brahim for another year or two plus some loan fee to Madrid (around 2 mills)

Madrid don’t want him either, they are stacked

  2. Why pay $12-13m when Adil will do the same job. What job is that? Get a 5 rating.

Its insane to buy Diaz. He is not better than Adil. If Milan Boss want to cut cost, just send Diaz back. Use the $12M to get a star player on loan for 1-2 years. We need winners.

  3. Boo, buying Diaz (unless free) would be a large mistake. Diaz himself should be lobbying for a return to Spain, he’s a much better fit there than in Italy.

  4. Send him back he’s too lightweight and frustrating to watch. No end product. When he does pick the right pass he fluffs it up

  5. He can’t play in Real, and in Milan Pioli should put him on right winger. But still, Charles needs to start scoring and assisting. Then we need good striker, with Giroud, Colombo and not so good Origi, then we need god Kessie replacement and at least central defender . With Diaz we could forgot for new right wi ger for at least 1 season.

  6. Depends what our budget is for 2023. If it’s 100M (Lol) then 13-15M is perhaps ok – I’d prefer 10M only. BUT if our budget is (more likely the pathetic) 50M or less than 13-15M is way too much. He’s a depth player. Too inconsistent to be a reliable starter. Every penny counts with our frugal owners unfortunately

  7. Use the money to sign Aouar. Should be enough to cover his wages or sign-on fee.

Aouar can play all the same positions but is twice as good.

    1. That not gonna happen, because we ve inept coach, sporting director and mingy owner. Buying five or six players is possible if its under 15mil, but Maldini is clueless, he won’t sell the seafood in the team, instead he brings in more hardwood, the Chilean winger would be a good buy, likewise Gabriel, Doku etc, but we won’t see such players in Milan jersey because sheer incompetence of Pioli and Maldini !!!
