Tuttosport: Optimism filters over Kessie’s renewal as Milan approach his requests – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

One of the situations that AC Milan are looking to resolve is the future of Franck Kessie, with optimism reportedly filtering about the negotiation.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Kessie will return to Italy soon after his time at the Tokyo Olympics with Ivory Coast, which means the negotiation process should be accelerated. This should lead to the extension of the midfielder’s contract, which expires in 2022.

The dialogue between the parties – after the meeting between agent George Atangana and sporting director Ricky Massara – continues in a more optimistic climate as Milan are getting close to a figure that Kessie would be happy to renew at.

Everyone is waiting for Kessie to reach a definitive agreement with Milan to put any doubts about his future to bed, from Stefano Pioli and Paolo Maldini and his team-mates and the fans. The goal is to close the matter as soon as possible, and it shouldn’t be too long now.
