GdS: Milan among the clubs monitoring Scamacca closely as price tag rises above €30m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Juventus are leading the list of clubs who have shown an interest in signing Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter, Juve and Milan were all keen on landing him in the last summer transfer window but Scamacca told his new agent Lucci that he wanted to postpone a move to a top club in Italy because he wanted to play at least 30 games in the 2021-22 season with Sassuolo.

His dream is to convince Roberto Mancini that he deserves a place in the World Cup squad for Qatar 2022 – and of course to help them qualify first through the play-offs – but in the mean time interest is gathering again.

With his incredible 25-yard shot that beat a stranded Mike Maignan last weekend to the goal against Napoli’s Ospina in midweek: Scamacca’s price tag has now risen above €25m and has broken through the wall of €30m.

Sassuolo do not want to sell neither Scamacca nor Raspadori in January because they want to back head coach Dionisi, hence why they are thinking of sacrificing Boga instead. Juventus, Inter and Milan are all keen and must rejuvenate in attack, while Fiorentina are poised for when Vlahovic leaves.
