AC Milan are continuing their pursuit of young talent and they want to wrap up the signing of young midfielder Hugo Cuenca by January, a report has claimed.
Cuenca’s name is not new when it comes to being linked with Milan. Calciomercato.com reported that an agreement was reached with his side Deportivo Capiata on the basis of a €500k fee plus 10% of a future resale, adding that the 16-year-old was completing the paperwork needed to obtain Spanish citizenship.
It was reported that he would then arrive in Italy to start his new adventure with the Rossoneri after Milan beat ‘many great European clubs’ to his signing, but then things went quiet as some apparent troubles arose regarding his move.
Now, MilanNews have confirmed that Rossoneri management are working to complete the registration procedures of the teenager and aim to welcome him by January. He can play either as a central midfielder or in a more advanced playmaker role.
