Milan’s impressive defensive record with Kjaer – one goal in ten hours

By Isak Möller -

Simon Kjaer is no longer a starter for AC Milan but he has made a good amount of appearances for the Rossoneri this season. And the stats are very impressive, as highlighted by a report this morning.

The Danish international recovered from his serious knee injury in the summer and has since been eased back into play by Stefano Pioli. His condition is seemingly not 100% just yet, with some time needed still to recover full form.

Based on the data of Transfermarkt, though, there’s no doubt that he’s a great leader. With him on the pitch, Milan have conceded just one goal and that is quite remarkable, considering Kjaer has played 623 minutes.

That is just over ten hours, which is staggering. Milan conceded the one goal with Kjaer in the game against Sampdoria, after Rafael Leao got sent off in the dying minutes of the first half. The Rossoneri still managed to win that game 2-1, though.
