The AC Milan management are working hard on three renewals and they could pass a milestone in the process in terms of money invested, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it) report that Milan are working to try to renew the contracts of Ismael Bennacer, Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao in the coming weeks, given their importance to the team and the project.

Of course the cost of replacing each would be high but that does not mean that keeping them is free, as the total cost of the extensions of the three players would be around €93m (total amount of the deals, obviously spread over several years).
To this must be added the over €100m invested to extend the contracts of Theo Hernandez, Fikayo Tomori, Sandro Tonali, Pierre Kalulu, Tommaso Pobega, Rade Krunic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Matteo Gabbia, meaning the figure reaches €200m total should the next three get over the line.

It’s a lot of money but Milan has specific players they aren’t like la liga or premier League teams that have a lot of players so it’s needed to do it to these three players because they are valuable. If leao for example leaves they are gonna need to find a new goal scorer and its gonna be hard to find
200m for 11 players….that’s less than 20m per player. You cannot sign a single decent player for less than that amount, never mind the contract costs.
That’s what it costs to employ top players. It’s not even a particularly high figure compared to what some clubs pay their stars.
It is not so much. Ibrahimovic and Giroud are short term contracts.
For exmple juventus has only 1 player untill june 2027, and he costs 46,3 million euros gross . Inter only Andre Onana, 19, million gross, Napoli 5 with gross 44 million. Kvicha, Ostigard, Zerbin on very low contracts.
Now look what happen to Juve and Inter financial
