Sky journalist confirms Milan will be without ‘invisible but fundamental’ Krunic for four weeks

AC Milan will miss having Rade Krunic at the base of the midfield for the next few weeks given his importance to Stefano Pioli, according to Sky’s Peppe Di Stefano.

Milan won 1-0 against Hellas Verona on Saturday but the win was not without negative notes. The Rossoneri will have to do without Krunic for about a month as per the latest estimations, after he came off in the second half.

He had a scan yesterday afternoon which showed a flexor injury and that means he could miss as many as seven games between now and the end of next month, including matches against Lazio, Napoli, Juventus, Dortmund and PSG.

The journalist Peppe Di Stefano spoke about the situation of the Rossoneri’s midfield without Krunic and his importance to Pioli, with his comments relayed by PianetaMilan.

“Krunic is a very precious player for Pioli, more than you can imagine. He will be out for at least four weeks, he will miss Cagliari, Lazio, Dortmund and Genoa. Milan want to try to have him for Juve on 22 October after the break, an invisible but fundamental player.”

Tijjani Reijnders should play in place of the injured Krunic. The Dutchman was tested yesterday in training as the regista in front of the defence, and he should start there tomorrow despite it not being his natural position.
