Mediaset: Milan and Juventus begin discussions over swap deal for €30m-rated duo

AC Milan and Juventus could soon start negotiating over a sensational swap deal involving Theo Hernandez and Dusan Vlahovic.

According to SportMediaset, we are still in the survey phase of what cannot yet be defined as a real negotiation, but the Bianconeri and Rossoneri have begun to consider the path that would lead to a swap deal between Theo and Vlahovic as feasible.

It all has a logic: both want a change of scenery, both are on contracts expiring in a year, both are not in the plans of their current coaches and both are liked by the coaches of the team that would welcome them with open arms. Is it enough for the operation to go through? Not yet, but there is a chance.

Vlahovic-Theo swap?

It is well known that Allegri considers Vlahovic the ideal striker to reinforce his forward department. And besides, given that the search is based mainly on the ‘striker capable of guaranteeing at least a double digits in goals’, the Serbian could be perfect.

Also because, in this specific case, it would avoid outlays. Let’s say that Vlahovic like Theo could have a valuation around €30m. It is good to avoid capital losses (or rather, to put a small plus on the balance sheet) and above all to avoid losing one’s assets to zero in a few months. Ergo: do it immediately, if possible.

The main issue is the salary. Theo would ask for €6m net per year (what he demanded from Milan to renew), while Vlahovic is currently on €12m per season. It is an impossible figure to match for the Rossoneri, who could reach a maximum of €6m and perhaps a long contract.

As mentioned, they are all pieces of a puzzle that has just been thrown on the table. There is the will to talk to each other, and this is the first, necessary, step. How everything will then fall into place, only time will tell. But one thing is certain: the operation would solve everyone’s problems.
