MN: The latest on Kessie, Ibrahimovic and Tomori ahead of derby against Inter

By Oliver Fisher -

There are just four days until the Derby della Madonnina clash between AC Milan and Inter at San Siro, with team news emerging all the time.

As reported by MilanNews, Franck Kessie’s arrival at Milanello is scheduled for just after lunchtime today. The Ivorian was expected to report for training yesterday but there was a delay due to logistical reasons, however he will begin preparations to face the Nerazzurri today after the Ivory Coast suffered an AFCON exit last week.

Meanwhile, Zlatan Ibrahimovic did work on his own as he attempts to get rid of the discomfort in his right Achilles tendon. The Swede is managing his body and the inevitable annoyances that arise given that he is age, and either on Thursday or Friday it will be understood whether he can start the derby.

Fikayo Tomori also did individual work. The knee that he had operated on is recovering well but his condition must be evaluated with extreme care day by day. It is not excluded that he could make it for the derby, but it will not be known until Saturday.
