AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is considering fielding Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao as the starting wingers against Inter on Saturday, according to a report.
Carlo Pellegatti spoke on YouTube (via MilanLive) about the possible line-up to face Inter, discussing the role of Franck Kessie and his potential deployment as an attacking midfielder, even if the Ivorian did not train with the rest of the team today.
Pellegatti reports that Pioli ‘could make important tactical changes’ such as fielding Kessie over Brahim Diaz as the attacking midfielder which would give greater strength to the core down the middle.
If there were three central midfielders on the pitch, the coach could then be tempted to put Ante Rebic on the right wing, with Rafael Leao on the left and Olivier Giroud or Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the centre-forward.
The journalist adds that fielding the best three forwards is a ‘temptation’ for Pioli that could become a concrete tactical test in the next training sessions.

Play leao as the centre forward…we need someone who can run in behind the defenders not long ball for headed goals
He was crapy there when he played, not really his cup of tea. Rebić is much better as CF.
Exactly.
I remember Pioli being so frustrated with him when he played him as CF. Leao kept running to the left side with the ball, despite LW being there and waiting, he did it every, single time. He is just a natural LW.
Rebic was very decent as CF though. Not perfect, but very decent.
You must be new…
agree, we have too many headers, keep Leao at LW .put Rebic at the 10, Sael. at RW
FINNALLY!!! REBIĆ CAN ALSO PLAY AM , IT’S BIG MISTAKE TO AVOID HIM AND LEAO PLAYING TOGETHER ON THE FIELD
IIRC he played AM at Frankfurt.
totally agree
