AC Milan are active in negotiations to build a team for the future and they are proceeding in negotiations over Rafael Leao’s extension, a report claims.
According to MilanNews, the Rossoneri want to keep Leao and the player wants to stay at the club, which is a fundamental starting point for the negotiation. The Portuguese winger is discussing an extension with Maldini and Massara until 2026 (current deadline 2024) with a pay rise as a reward for his excellent season so far.
The signature is expected to arrive in the coming weeks and there is total trust and calm between the parties. However, we must wait before the dispute with Sporting CP is definitively resolved, given that Lille will also participate in the fine, the report adds.
It is certainly good news after this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reported that PSG are willing to offer €70m to the Rossoneri for Leao, and are hoping to convince the player by offering a contract worth €6m net per season.
