Milan legend Ambrosini on UCL race: “The situation has become very complicated”

By Isak Möller -

Milan dropped to fifth place in the league standings following their humiliating defeat to Lazio on Monday evening. Therefore, Champions League is now at risk as they have a very tough schedule ahead.

In addition to the schedule, it’s inevitable to ignore the Rossoneri’s poor form and after what was such a great first half to the season, everything could fall apart. Milan fans are right to be worried, although the team also needs to feel the support.

The next game is against Benevento but then they will face Juventus, and they also have Atalanta away. Speaking live on Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, Milan legend Massimo Ambrosini shared his thoughts on the tight Champions League race.

“Napoli have a better schedule than Milan but in 5 matches anything can happen. For Milan, the Champions League is in doubt, the situation has become very complicated,” he stated.

Certainly, it’s do or die for the Rossoneri and perhaps Stefano Pioli as well. The manager could be sacked if top four isn’t reached as it would truly be a disaster, especially considering they were in first place back in February.
