Milan legend tells Donnarumma to snub PSG, Real Madrid: “I would advise him to stay”

Former AC Milan goalkeeper Sebastiano Rossi has urged current Rossoneri star Gianluigi Donnarumma to sign a new deal and stay at the club.

Donnarumma’s current contract with the Rossoneri is set to expire in June 2021, meaning Milan have found themselves at a crossroads regarding his future just as they did back in 2017.

Elliott Management must try and find a renewal before the start of next season or strongly consider selling the 21-year-old, so as not to run the risk of losing him for free in one year’s time.

It was recently reported by Tuttosport that Donnarumma and Mino Raiola have laid out two conditions for the renewal: a competitive project and an acceptable salary, with the Italy international happy to stay.

Sebastiano Rossi knows what it means to reach the top with Milan. During a 21-year professional career, he made 346 Serie A appearances, winning 12 major titles with the Rossoneri including five Scudetti and the 1994 Champions League.

He spoke during an Instagram live with Mauro Suma about the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma: “Only Gigio will be able to decide his future. I wish him to choose the best way.

“I would advise him to stay at Milan, then it’s up to him to decide,” he said (via MilanNews).
