GdS: Milan hesitating on Liverpool’s Origi as €40m man appears to be preferred option

By Oliver Fisher -

Part of the reason that AC Milan have not fully closed a deal for Divock Origi yet is because they reportedly prefer Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo.

Carlo Laudisa of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), spoke of Milan’s next reinforcements in attack, confirming that Maldini and Massara are very active in identifying the new centre-forward for the future given the doubts about Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s stay.

There has been talk for weeks about Divock Origi whose contract is about to expire at Liverpool, but he has quite a high salary considering that he has been a bench player mostly for the last few years.

The Rossoneri management also have a meeting scheduled with Sassuolo for Gianluca Scamacca, a player who has all the characteristics to the striker for the future. The problem is the price, because Milan want to close a deal at €30m but Sassuolo are asking for €40m+ at the moment.

  1. Focus on the free transfers and leave scammaca alone, that dude does not have Milan at heart! Wtf is wrong with this management if we are losing our best players for free, we could as well snap up free agents too!
    Belotti
    Origi
    Kamara
    Isco
    Lingard

  2. I like Origi on a free. He’s a big time player (scored big goals in Champions League and for Belgium) and still pretty young… just doesn’t play a lot only because of the superstars in front of him with Salah, Mane, Jota and Firmino. If given the opportunity at Milan, I think he would score many goals for us.

    1. I just don’t understand why time and time again they hesitate and then they lose out on getting their man?

Origi is quality and is on a free and is willing to drop salary as well why not concentrate on signing him?

Scamaca is $40 million big salary as well
To me it is a no brainer
At this rate they won’t sign anyone
