MN: Milan rapidly losing patience with Rebic as idea of sale gathers steam

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not ruled out the potential sale of Ante Rebic in the summer as his struggles throughout the season have continued into the decisive phase, a report claims.

MilanNews report how the problem he sustained at half-time in the cup semi-final loss to Inter on Tuesday night was the ‘straw that broke the camel’s back’ especially given that the scan results yesterday showed he has no problem at all, arousing surprise from the medical staff given the Croatian reported an injury.

Rebic has only three goals this season and just 986 total minutes of action played over 25 appearances in all competitions. The 28-year-old played 20 games in the league and 755 minutes overall, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic – at the age of 40 – has played 1098 in all competitions and has 937 minutes of Serie A action.

The report adds that there is a concrete trend with the former Eintracht Frankfurt man in that ‘as soon as there is a problem – large or small – Rebic pulls himself out of the fight’. Milan absolutely cannot afford to keep such a player in the squad and therefore it is natural that in the summer a sale can’t be ruled out.

  1. With that attitude ,no wonder Frankfurt want to get rid him and accept AC Milan offer to swap loan and swap player with Andre Silva
