Joao Felix of AC Milan

TMW: ‘Already over’ – Milan making a move for Felix is ‘difficult if not impossible’

Despite reports suggesting that Joao Felix could arrive at AC Milan permanently in the summer, the Rossoneri now seem to be turning their back on the idea.

After the first few minutes of Felix in a Milan shirt, there were a notable number of people asking for the Diavolo to take the Portuguese permanently at the end of the season. However, he has failed to continue at that rate.

Instead, the attacker has fallen into a bit of a slump and has been heavily criticised, with the latest instance being after last night’s defeat to Bologna, which has seen the Rossoneri effectively forfeit a place in the Champions League next season.

This alone would be a decisive blow to the chances of signing the former Barcelona man, simply as the finances available will be much less than originally anticipated, and TMW (via Milan News) reports that this is one of the big reasons why a move is ‘difficult if not impossible’ to see happening.

Aside from this, Felix’s performances have not continued as everyone had hoped. The Portuguese is slow, he doesn’t work, and ultimately, he lacks function within this side. For this reason, the sparkle fades, and what is left is a player that is rendered almost useless.

So, it seems the ‘Italian adventure’ could already be done.

  1. His first 10 minutes of his milan career was so promising and it was left there. I’ve never seen someone come into a new team and look so disinterested. Slow, lazy, attitude and not even good. He wanted o play for conceicao at all costs? Doesn’t look like it. Now everybody knows why he’s a reject. He may have loads of potential but I wouldn’t even discuss a deal with Chelsea.

    1. No one is here stupid. You need one season to collect 20 players and explain them basic things to go out there and play.
Milan can’t lose any more time by changing strategies. It is 20times much more better to.invest 30 million in Ricci and use Fofana Ricci midfield with Reijnders as no10, than again only for 1 season invest 20 million on Felix.
Felix had immediate chance to make a difference and he can’t do it now. If he can’t do it now he definitely will.not be able to do it in next season.

  2. There were so many articles written in the first few days of Felix arriving that “Milan keen to sign him permanently” it had to be fake, pushed by his agent.

Total nonsense. The guy is showing that while technically gifted he’s ineffective in modern football, how he’s become a luxury player that no big club wants or needs.

He’d do well as the star of a small side but none can afford his inflated wages, so is likely destined to be a loan-journeyman before ending up in Saudi or MLS for an extended “early retirement”

  3. But thinking about, Conceicao and Felix are all under Jorge Mendes. The only reason why Conceicao is using Felix as 10 instead of a a guy who have 13 goals and 2 ass (Reijnders), is because they are doing favours in the Mendes’ agency.

  4. When they took him no one must of watched him play at any of his previous teams. This has turned out as I expected because I watched him play.

  5. Felix is not the player everyone was hoping to be. No point holding on to him. If he couldn’t make it at his previous clubs then it’s too risky to keep him at Milan. It is an easy decision for the brainless management!!!
