AC Milan’s management continue to think about renewing their key pieces for the future and another potential extension has emerged, a report claims.
There is an abundance of speculation claiming that Milan are looking to extend the deals of key pieces such as Alessio Romagnoli, Ismael Bennacer, Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez even though the last three are under contract until 2024.
The management have had problems getting their key players to stick around – as the Gianluigi Donnarumma and Franck Kessie sagas show – there is now a proactive attitude from them to reward key pillars of the squad for their exploits.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan will also work on the renewal of Matteo Gabbia over the next few months. Although the contract of the young central defender expires in 2024, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to move ahead of time and also wish to given him a pay rise to reflect his increasing importance.

Gabbia should be getting more game time IMO.We are blocking his development by refusing to play him when he is fit. I Think he should play at least the 2nd half of the Fiorentina game.
