CM: Milan meet intermediary amid ‘tug of war’ with Real Madrid over forward

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are trying to secure the permanent signing of Brahim Diaz and they held a meeting with one of his intermediaries, a report claims.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, intermediary Edoardo Crnjar arrived at the Casa Milan headquarters this afternoon amid a ‘tug of war’ between Milan and Real Madrid over the Spanish playmaker.

Brahim got an assist and scored a goal of his own during the 4-0 win over Napoli on Sunday and he would like to continue his adventure at Milan beyond his loan deal, which will expire at the end of the season.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are discussing the possibility of sitting down again at the negotiating table with Real Madrid to re-discuss the amount for the permanent purchase, therefore looking for a discount on the €22m envisaged in the verbal agreement reached two years ago.

Los Blancos however are satisfied with the growth shown by the 23-year-old in the last two years with the Rossoneri and at the moment they are seriously intending to bring him back to base to make him part of their plans for next season.

The meeting with Crnjar served to outline Milan’s plans to keep the former Manchester City man and to take stock of the situation.

    1. Agreed but he is worth 22m and I’m getting a bit tired of us bargain hunting. If we made a verbal agreement at 22m we should pay it and be done.
