Milan move fades as CSKA Moscow manager insists Vlasic has ‘solved’ his issues

By Isak Möller -

In the last few weeks, Milan have been linked with Nikola Vlasic, who seemingly wants to leave CSKA Moscow this summer. However, based on the latest reports, the Rossoneri have dropped out of the race.

As reported by MilanNews a few days ago, CSKA Moscow are proving to be a tough nut to crack and will not approve the formula of a loan with option to buy, while Milan do not want to invest €25m to sign the player outright.

And after the Russian side’s clash against Dinamo Moscow, which they lost 2-1, the manager Aleksei Berezutski spoke about the future of Vlasic and the recent reports. He made it clear that whatever issues the playmaker had have been solved.

“He didn’t play from start at the beginning because he had problems to solve with the club. Those problems have been solved and therefore I played him from start,” he said as cited by MilanNews.

It seems, therefore, that Milan will have to focus on other targets and based on the last few weeks, they don’t exactly lack those. With the market closing in three weeks, we should know more soon.

  1. Vlasic was the best candidate to fill Calha’s void at Milan, it’s a pity the club can’t find the money to purchase him even in the pandemic . Young, tenacious, works off the ball and a goal scorer no other player apart from Viyech matches up…. Isco, Ilicic, James are all past their best and non workers in the defensive phase.
