Federico Chiesa only moved to Liverpool in the summer, but a report has already suggested that Serie A clubs – such as AC Milan – are interested in him.

In recent years, Chiesa has struggled for minutes after suffering career-defining injuries. An ACL tear kept him sidelined for almost a year, and since then there have been numerous knee/muscle injuries that would often dictate the direction of a player’s career.

Nevertheless, the winger got a move to Liverpool in the summer with Juventus unable to facilitate him in their squad, and Milan had taken an interest as well.

Given this history of interest, it does not come as a shock to see that the Rossoneri are interested in his current situation on Merseyside. This morning, CaughtOffside are reporting that the winger is ‘unsettled’ at his new club and he is ‘keen’ to move back to Italy.

It is stated that his struggles are to do with limited playing time, so there could be a solution found before the January mercato opens, but if it does not, a loan move could be on the cards. With the Diavolo unsure about Samuel Chukwueze’s future, Chiesa’s availability could be a catalyst. Elsewhere, Napoli are keeping tabs on the winger.

  1. Do it. the priority task for the winter mercato – get rid of Jovic and get Chiesa (or other Italian forward at his level – i wouldnt even care if its a dry loan), to help fixing our Italian quota issue until our youngsters fill the gap.
