AC Milan are planning talks with Chelsea over midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko but face competition from two rivals, a report claims.

According to Sky (via MilanLive), there is a meeting scheduled between the Milan management and the Premier League side to talk about the French midfielder, who will not stay in London and will almost certainly return to Italy.

Bakayoko wants to play for Milan again after his loan spell in the 2018-19 season, and for the Rossoneri – even though Tommaso Pobega has shown good signs in a deeper role – the idea of buying a new midfielder is still alive given Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie will miss a few games due to the African Cup of Nations.

Bakayoko is certainly the name at the top of the list but Chelsea need to extend his contract by a year and the open to the formula of a loan with option to buy deal. Not only that, but Napoli are interested in bringing him back after a loan spell last season.
