Tuttosport: Milan ready new offer to Leao as Man City, Real Madrid and PSG circle

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to make a substantial economic effort in order to try and finally get Rafael Leao to sign a contract renewal, a report claims.

According to what is being reported in today’s edition of Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), Milan will propose a new contract to Leao in the coming days, given that the current one will expire in June 2024.

The will of the Rossoneri management is to make an exception to their current internal salary ceiling which is set at €4.5m net per season (per player). Their plan is to offer Leao then €7m-a-year he and his entourage are asking for to extend.

The reasons are obvious: he was best player of the last Serie A season, he is a leader of Milan’s attacking department and he is also being eyed by top clubs like Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSG.

Chelsea were in the running but now it looks like Christopher Nkunku will join from RB Leipzig next summer, meaning they may be covered that position.
