CM: Milan have already identified €15m-rated man as No.1 January target

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan already know the player they want to welcome in the January transfer window to bolster the squad, according to a report.

The latest from Calciomercato.com states that Romain Faivre is the number one target for when the transfer window reopens and he is the name that the management are determined to work on signing.

The basis of the negotiation with Ligue 1 side Brest already began in the summer, and technical director Paolo Maldini has a new assault in mind to try and finally land the 23-year-old midfielder.

Calciomercato.com reporter Daniele Longo (via MilanPosts) reported earlier in the month that Milan’s owners gave the green light for the Faivre deal to go ahead and a private jet was all ready to fly over the Alps and go fetch him.

However, the deal never went through as Brest kept on asking for €15m in a single payment and refused €12m plus €3m in bonuses, which was Milan’s final offer. Then, they were upset about his behaviour as he refused to travel with the squad for a league game, so they pulled him from the market.
