CM: Milan not giving up on signing winger with €35m clause despite recent move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not given up on the idea of signing Nicolo Zaniolo despite the fact he recently completed a move to Galatasaray, a report claims.

It was well documented by virtually all major sources that Milan tried to sign Zaniolo during the winter mercato in order to strengthen their attacking options and give a boost to a squad that was in a crisis, and his mother even recently confirmed that he was willing to potentially take a pay cut to join the Rossoneri.

Calciomercato.com speak of ‘recent contacts’ and adds that Milan will not let go of Zaniolo, who ended up sealing a move to Turkey after the window had shut for Italian clubs.

Milan will try again in the summer as per the source, but carefully evaluating whether or not to pay the €35m clause in his contract with Galatasaray or whether to try and negotiate a lower price for the winger.

  1. It is better to have Diaz in this situation for that Money. Milan more needs striker very, fast, agile, and defensive midfielder similar to Kessie, if Milan is going to keep this formation.

  2. if we can’t buy him 15m then how we’ll pay 35m?
but if we’ve 35m i’ll choose Lookman or Moussa Diaby (Leverkusen) he can cover wb/md/fw on both side, can shoot & cross well, good stat on goal/assist
