AC Milan will continue to handle the recovery of Mike Maignan with the utmost care and he is unlikely to play in the final winter friendly, a report claims.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) recall that Milan will play a final winter friendly on 30 December against PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands in the hope of being at 100% for the resumption of the Serie A season on January 4.
For the game against the Eredivisie side, Stefano Pioli will probably not be able to count on Maignan again as the French goalkeeper is carrying out a very specific personalised routine and there is no desire to run the risk of a new injury.
The 27-year-old still aims to return for the game against Salernitana but the medical staff quite rightly have no intention of rushing things and potentially causing a relapse of what is clearly a very delicate muscle. His individual work will therefore continue.
