AC Milan signed two strikers in the summer and seem to want to add another in January, so what does that mean for the future of Francesco Camarda?
Calciomercato.com confirm that Milan are willing to invest in Santiago Gimenez who they believe can be the centre-forward for the future, but believes also believe in Camarda’s potential and are trying to develop him in the best way possible.
However, he ultimately remains 16-year-old boy who has not yet fully grown yet physically, even if mentally the minutes with the first team will have been worth their weight in gold. Despite this, there are still concerns about his path.
Camarda has nine appearances and one goal with Milan Futuro in Serie C in a total of 690 minutes, plus two appearances and two goals in the Coppa Italia Serie C.
With the first team he has three appearances in the Champions League for a total of 28 minutes and seven appearances in Serie A for a total of 140 minutes.
These numbers open to more than one interpretation, and one is that Milan believe that they have a talent who should be given the opportunity to be part of the first team, which will in turn speed up his growth path.
Clearly if the negotiation for Gimenez were to conclude positively, things would change because there would be almost no space left. And at that point Camarda would have to return to playing more frequently, with Milan Futuro.
Gimenez represents the choice for the present, Camarda the one for the future. Milan are convinced that in two or three years the record-breaking striker will be ready to become a starter and even capable of making the difference.
Monza tried for a loan back in November and then a few days ago, but their attempt was rejected. Other Italian clubs also came forward to enquire but they were told very clearly: Camarda will remain at Milan, with or without Gimenez.

Actually Milan did back up of Giroud, with 2 inconsistent central forward such as Morata and Abraham.
If you have one consistent central forward who regularly score, and team who can beat several teams in a row, then you don’t have problem to use 16 YEAR old as a substitute.
When you have situation where Morata and Abraham can’t score and struggling team, stronger CF is necessary
At the end of next season Camarda has 1 year remaining on his contract. That means that:
1 – by the end of next season, he needs to see a clear path to a starting spot in the (then) near future.
2 – We need to be convinced enough to give him the deal his agent will want, or we have to consider a sale.
That means that – whoever we bring in, next season he has to be second choice.
His movement is excellent, he just needs a goal for confidence.
That is the problem now. Based on the present “pressure” to produce results, the coaches are not ready to place their job in jeopardy trying to develop a talent without instant results.
He might eventually leave Milan for free despite being a fan because there is no clear-cut plan for his growth. Verbal agreements are of no value to those who do not honor their word. He would be wise to think twice before renewing with Milan, cos the case of jovic shows your contract can be renewed and you be frozen out of the team.
Betul tu bro, saya sokong pendapat awak.
Maybe if they found someone who can start every time camarda can be backup
On Camarda’s age, Ronaldo and Messi was conquering the UCL and league… Meanwhile this ‘young’ foo is busy with concerts with washed up Calabria
At 16 conquering UCL? They were not.
Give the kid a break.
I think he confuse 6 with 9..look same but its not🤣
You meant to say Lamin Yamal?
Are you expecting Camarda to reach those two INSANELY EXCEPTIONAL GOATS??? LOL. Oh boy, how delirious is that??? 😀 😀 😀 😀
Was meant to reply to Mirjalol’s RIDICULOUS comment.
Let’s be honest
Gimenez shouldn’t come to Milan !!
Let the boy enjoy his carrier elsewhere!
Don’t destroy him in this Milan, without horizons.
Nowadays no hope for better
Start preparing for the next season
We don’t know what Camarda will become. He’s so still just very young and has potential. And that’s about it. To build our team based on that is delusional and poor planning. Can’t plan based on hope
