Tuttosport: Milan planning three sales to make room for midfield signings – the strategy

The midfield department is the one that was always going to undergo the most changes at AC Milan, and more exits should follow.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) recall, Igli Tare and Giorgio Furlani stopped short of calling it a summer ‘revolution’, but in the middle of the park it seems to be exactly that. Tijjani Reijnders has left for Manchester City, and Luka Modric is the first signing through the door.

More exits to come

Milan are getting closer to the Samuele Ricci deal, and Ardon Jashari is clearly in the crosshairs too, having apparently submitted a transfer request to try and push through a move to the Rossoneri from Club Brugge.

In addition to the incoming players, however, Tare and co. must also think about the outgoings, players that Massimiliano Allegri does not consider starters for various reasons.

For Yunus Musah the Rossoneri are waiting for the Premier League. West Ham could come back onto the scene soon after having tried to hijack the discussions between Milan and Napoli in recent weeks, which ran aground due to Anguissa staying.

Then there are Yacine Adli and Ismael Bennacer. In this case the newspaper point out how the ball is mostly in the court of the respective agents who will have to find a solution for their clients, who have ended up on the fringes of the project.

  1. I will miss Adli so much. I wish him all the best if he leaves. I will follow him wherever he goes. But most of all I hope he stays.
