ANSA: Torino’s latest signing a big clue regarding Milan’s plan for Pobega

By Oliver Fisher -

Torino have bolstered their midfield with the signing of talented young midfielder Samuele Ricci, and it appears to be a big clue regarding the future of Tommaso Pobega.

As ANSA write (via MilanNews), the Granata have moved to snap up the young Empoli talent, who has been called up by Italy boss Roberto Mancini for the latest training camp of the national team. Ricci joins via the formula of a loan with obligation to buy, and the 20-year-old is certainly a prospect with a bright future.

In the top flight this year, he has already made 21 appearances and has scored one goal with the Tuscan side, and he should settle into the double pivot in the 3-4-2-1 formation that Ivan Juric has been using.

It is also a big sign about what the future holds for Pobega as per the report, because it confirms that he is destined to return to Milan who sent him on loan to Turin for the season. The player will be able to complete the season with Torino and further his growth, and then will be assessed by the Rossoneri in preseason.

    1. Pobega will be in Italian international pretty soon going on form…and he will definitely form the double pivot with Tonali so it’s excellent news. Zakaria is decent but Pobega has a higher ceiling and he adds a scoring dimension to that position too. Tonali has already proven he’s better than Locatelli. All we need is a a proper Right winger, striker and an Attacking midfielder. Colombo, Lazetic and the kid Zlatan brought are still young.

      1. Oh my God, let’s move on. I’m tired of people here mentioning that stupid Faivre. He is already in the past. Milan fans don’t seem to move on. At least Milan is having many transfers rumors again. In the past, I never heard anything about Milan buying or selling player. It is good to know that team is getting back into business. But fans desperate for players who might not be the answers. Faivre is good, but that doesn’t mean anything. Many players have been disappointing to many teams, look at Kulusevki in Juventus or Hazard in Real Madrid. People here have to stop waiting for a messiah. Let’s build up a team. Not only looking at stipulations

        1. It’s so so annoying how Milan fans think they know better than these professionals who have done so well to bring our team back from the dead.
We are throwing all these names around as if they are just going to come in and then “BOOM” the scudetto!
MILAN is still in the “BUILDING PHASE” guys!
ITS EITHER YOU GET ON THE BUS OR GET OFF!!
          You are not being forced.
          FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2. Our midfield are full of depth : tonali,Bennacer, pobega,Bakayoko, krunic and new player that replace kessie. Why would we need Zakaria ? Tonali already better than locatelli. Even we get rid Bakayoko back to Chelsea and sell krunic , our DMF still safe with tonali, pobega,Bennacer and probably Renato . We just need young and prolific striker, good quality RW that have better skill than junior Messiah , CB starter quality to replace romagnoli that maybe out at the end of season

  1. I agree with you bo let all our loan player’s come back by the end of the season they will be useful d like of pobega, Colombo etc..we don’t need Renato what we need is AMF and a good rw and let build life without ibra, kassie and Roma…if not we are just wasting time in transfer’s.
