ML: The Milan Primavera quartet who could make first senior appearances vs. Genoa

By Oliver Fisher -

Even though Milan Primavera have struggled to begin the season, the pathway to the senior team is very much made that bit easier when the Coppa Italia comes around and some players could make their debut, a report claims.

MilanLive writes that after giving Luca Stanga his senior debut in the win over Venezia, Milan should call Milos Kerkez up for the squad to face Genoa tonight. He was on the bench in Venice and the absence of the Senegal international Fode Ballo-Touré has a potential spot for Kerkez, who came from FC Gyor about a year ago.

Then there is the potential for some young midfielders to get the nod given that Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer are away at AFCON and there is another important game on Monday night. Enrico Di Gesù is one of the most experienced players in the academy despite being just 19, while Giovanni Robotti could play in the pivot or as an attacking midfielder if necessary.

Finally, there is the 19-year-old striker Andrea Capone who can also play as a winger if needed. The feeling is that – like the on-loan Lorenzo Colombo – he is entering a vital phase of his development and some minutes for the first team could only be beneficial.
