The Rossoneri have Real Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic in their sights and will use this weekend’s Champions League final at the San Siro to make headway in their attempts to snatch the midfielder from the Spanish giants.

The 2016 CL final will be played at the home of the Rossoneri providing the club’s CEO Adriano Galliani the perfect opportunity to meet with the Blancos President Florentino Perez who will be in the stands for the showpiece final against city rivals Atletico Madrid. On the agenda is said to be the future of Kovacic, who only left the city of Milan a year ago, albeit the black and blue half, to join Real for 30 million euros.

However, there is a stumbling block: with AC Milan President Silvio Berlusconi currently in the midst of negotiations to sell a majority share of the club, it’s still not clear what transfer targets or policy the potential new owners have in mind. Nevertheless, while Galliani won’t be able to make a formal offer, he still remains intent on confirming his interest for the Croatian star who has made 25 league appearances this season for Real Madrid and who is also a reported target of Sevilla and Tottenham.
