CorSera: Milan not expected to recall young striker from loan spell

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are not expected to recall young striker Lorenzo Colombo from his loan spell with Lecce in the January transfer window, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera (via Calciomercato.com), Milan have been making assessments of their options in attack before deciding what their next steps will be in the transfer market.

The Rossoneri are lacking in options to cover for Olivier Giroud in the centre of the attack and they still might loan Marko Lazetic out to Sampdoria so he can get more first-team football.

There have been some suggestions that Milan could recall Colombo from his loan spell at Lecce so that he can be the backup for Giroud, but it does not seem that that will be the case.

Colombo lined up against Milan on Saturday evening when the two sides faced each other but he did not score in the 2-2 draw at the Stadio Via del Mare.
