Milan midfield duo one yellow card away from suspension

By Oliver Fisher -

There are two AC Milan players who would be suspended for next week’s trip to face Udinese if they were to receive a yellow card tonight.

Tonight’s match against Roma is fundamental for Milan who must find consistency in the league and consolidate their Champions League place, which they have a chance to do thanks to Bologna’s defeat earlier today and with Fiorentina losing at the time of writing.

The Rossoneri, however, have to pay attention to cards because their squad is one of the worst in Serie A when it comes to discipline. In addition to avoiding red cards (with four in the first half of the season), two players must watch out for yellows.

In fact, both Tijjani Reijnders and Yunus Musah are on the list of players who will serve a ban when they next get a card. If they were to be booked tonight during the match against Roma, a one-game suspension would be triggered which would keep them out of the next Udinese game.

Reijnders will probably start alongside Yacine Adli and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in midfield as per the latest reports, while Musah will start from the bench but will be expected to come on having just recovered from a muscle issue.
