Tijjani Reijnders has been one of AC Milan’s best players at the start of this season, moving all over the pitch to help his teammates. In fact, stats show that he has covered a lot of ground.
The Dutchman was brought in from AZ Alkmaar this summer and the Milan management knew that one of his key strengths was his stamina and physique. He didn’t miss a single game due to injury last season, despite his hard work.
As per Serie A’s website, Reijnders is one of the players that has covered the most ground at the start of this season, in third place with an average of 12.5km per game. Only Ylber Ramadani (Lecce, 12.8km) and Nicolas Haas (Empoli, 13km) are ahead of him.
Milan’s next clash is against Inter and Reijnders is expected to play from the first minute. The 25-year-old will be a key player as it most likely will be a high-intensity game, with quick transitions needed from defence to attack and vice versa.
Amazing. He can be as good as Gullit
Distance is ok but what you do with the distance counts more
