AC Milan have been working hard in the last few months to renew some of their key players. The likes of Alexis Saelemaekers, Simon Kjaer and Stefano Pioli have renewed, with more on the way. Theo Hernandez is one of them.
The French left-back has been a key player for the Rossoneri ever since he arrived for a mere €20m from Real Madrid in 2019. It’s not exactly surprising that several big clubs are keeping tabs on his development, now also convincing with the national team.
According to today’s edition of QS, as cited by MilanNews, the likes of Man City and Paris Saint-Germain have been probing the situation for quite some time now. Milan, however, have no intention of letting Hernandez leave.
The current contract will expire in 2024 and the Rossoneri have already started the renewal talks with agent Garcia Quilon have started. The new deadline should be 2026 and there will be a substantial pay rise from the current €1.5m per year.
The feeling is that an agreement will be reached as Hernandez seems very content with the situation.
