AC Milan could decide to replace Rafael Leao with another Portuguese attacking star in the summer should Leao have to be sold, a report claims.
As has been reported in Spain by El Chiringuito TV (via Pianeta Milan), the Rossoneri are quietly exploring the idea of signing Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix as a replacement for Leao if they have to sell the star player.
The priority is still to get Leao to sign a new deal and dissuade the interest from multiple huge clubs around Europe.
It would be remiss of Milan not to be making safety plans for if Leao has to be sold in the summer. His contract will expire in the summer of 2024 which means that it is time to secure his future or potentially cash in on the interest.
A sale is likely to raise around €100 million for Milan and they could then try and sign Felix for a loan worth €15 million and redemption the following summer.
Joao Felix makes almost double than what Leao salary demands are from Milan .
Money isn’t everything for everyone though.
Well, we can be naive and think that, but in reality , those players that think that money isn’t everything are the exception, not the rule.
The kid makes 15 mil a year, sits on the bench and plays for a coach that lines up 9 defensive minded players in every game. If money wasn’t everything he would have asked to leave by now instead of wasting his career.
And even if he cuts his salary in half , it would still be more than what Leao salary demands are, according to reports.
Selling Leao is crucial. He has no desire to renew. His renewal comes with a heavy price too. Let him go… greedy players never learn.
Joao Felix is very lazy. Find someone else if leao leaves.
Fake news i guess.. Felix salary could be triple than leao have.. Too good to be true.
Yeah i like this. Felix is an amazing player. Let’s do it
The replacement is Mudryk 100%
Joao Felix is probably the only replacement I would accept for Rafael Leao. He is a next-level talent who just needs a proper offensive-minded coach and system to flourish. Bigger talent than Leao and more versatile
