After a meeting with Club Brugge today, it seems AC Milan are ready to send a new bid to the Belgian outfit for Ardon Jashari.
There has been a lot of back and forth with Jashari. However, the hope has never died for Milan or Jashari. In fact, it has only grown, especially with Brugge progressing well for another midfielder in the past week.

Today, reports suggested that a new meeting would take place for the midfielder, and an update has emerged, linked to a new bid.

As our colleague Luca Maninetti writes, the Rossoneri are ready to offer a figure closer to the €40 million sought by Brugge. Initially, the club had offered €32.5m with €2.5m in easy bonus and another €3m in difficult ones, as Daniele Longo reported (relayed in Luca Maninetti’s reporting).
However, the journalist now states that the club are ready to ‘satisfy’ the demands, and will make a new offer of €35m fixed and add-ons, which should, surely, provide things close to €40m, which has been the only remaining obstacle.
Things have transcended into a farce, and all parties are responsible. However, if the Diavolo can end things here, it would only be a good thing. It seems that the ‘final bid’ may not have actually been. Who would have guessed?

this can only result in 40m. It’s a public secret. Milan can only tweak the formula.

Not really how budgets work in modern football. They’re usually based on an annual budget (with room for change), so each player’s cost to the club is based on their amortised fee, their gross salary and any fees or additional costs (eg agent fees).
So the cost of Jashari on a 5 year contract would probably work out at something like 13-15M per year (7M fee divided over five years, 5M gross salary and 2M other fees, maybe some other costs).
Would happily see the approx annual costs for the squad though.
So €32.5m + €2.5m + €3.0m isn’t close to €40m? What is close to 40? Maybe 39?

Milan is basically matching their demand. If they don’t accept it, find a different player. Maybe Guerra… I don’t know.
Milan has done entirely their part. They didn’t go in with an insulting bid. They were very close to the demand.

Ricci play same position with modric. . Jashari ( if coming) are competitor for RLC . Basically if 433 the midfield will be jashari ( RLC ) – modric ( ricci) -fofana ( bondo or yunus musah ). One from bondo and YM will leave this summer ( most likely YM will leave )
Ricci doesn’t play the same position as Modric. Ricci is a defensive midfielder primarily. Modric is opposite of that.
Exactly- both Ricci and Jashari are defensive midfielders..
Milan have shown their willingness to compromise and cooperate. What have Club Brugge done? I know they do not have to sell and they can set any price on Jashari, I have heard those things many times. But the thing is where do the relationship between them and the player fit in this whole thing? It is easy to be a dick. It is not about being right or wrong. No, they are not wrong, they are just not behaving like human beings.
He could’ve started pre-season training with us already.
I understand if he might not be worth 40 million but in that case just move on!
We need to make it to Champions League next season. Hopefully even win Serie A.
That will require the squad to come together as a team and work together. It takes some time.
We need as many starters available now as possible. Don’t chase players like the last seasons before. It takes too much time away from getting in the squad.
Whatever happens, we also should aim for players who are already in the league. At least, the RB position and striker should be from Serie a. Looking at our kids, I still think creativity will be an issue. Let’s see

With Modric, Pulisic and Leao in the squad, there shouldn´t be a lack of creativity. Jimenez and Sale are also creative players. It will be more about how much creativity they´ll be allowed to show on the field.

I will give them 2 days then go on to find another midfielder. There are so many to choose from. And this will look bad on Brugge. Not many clubs will be willing to do business with them !!!
Given how much Ardon wants Milan, he will play his heart and breath away for us. Hope we sign him. He and Estupian both can be game changers next season and beyond.

Truth is, 40mil is already way too much for him. He is unproven in any top5 league. There were many like him, that have 1-2 good seasons in weak league and then just disappear in top5, and end up in some Bournemouth or Cagliari.

Bournemouth squad value: 435m
AC Milan squad value: 482m
At this point, it’s just stupidity on both ends. Milan are willing to lose a target they’ve chased for over a month for less than two million. Brugge are willing to let a record sale go away for less than two million. It’s like a d*** measuring contest.
If we do end up landing jashari I can only see them playing in a 4 3 3 with jashari Ricci fofana/modric. I don’t think modric is going to be o be playing every week a full 90 and I really don’t see Ricci being benched.
Jashari is cheaper one compared to Barella and Rovella. He could be resemblance of Tonali and Pirlo. Upgrade from Musah and Fofana combined.

We cant have 11 starters, we need to have 23 starters.. hope you guys understand this.. the more competition in training, the better for the team… We can’t have a team that players do not work off their asses to be in the starting line up or being a sub ….WE ARE MILAN !!!
