AC Milan, this afternoon, have set the price for Tijjani Reijnders’ transfer, and fans may want to look away…
Signing a player like Reijnders for what Milan did was phenomenal business. However, the good work can come undone just as quickly if he is not sold for the correct value. Considering the midfielder is one of the best in Europe, a fee respective of that should be requested.
It seems that the Rossoneri may be underselling him slightly though, as Dutch news outlet Telegraaf (via Milan Posts on X) report that Manchester City will only have to cough up a little more than anticipated to bring him this summer – as he is being valued at €70m.
Of course, this is a lot of money and it would be a record fee for the Diavolo. However, with the market’s current state, it feels backwards to accept this little of a figure for a player (and more importantly profile) like Reijnders.
Considering much of the fanbase believes that the Dutchman should be a pillar of the future, especially after signing a long-term contract, there are bound to be some left disappointed with this.
However, we must remember that the club found the midfielder for a budget price after selling Tonali, which may thought to be a mistake at the time. We will have to see in time how the club reinvest the funds, but it wouldn’t be unreasonable to be a little nervous.
They just paid 60m to porto for 23yo nico gonzales. By that logic reijnders shouldn’t go for less than 100…
$100 mil or keep him
The incompetence keeps getting more and more obvious each day. FFS, you don’t leak information on how much they value the player. You let the media “know” something like “we might consider selling him for 120M€ when you actually would be thrilled to get 70M€”. Why? You don’t play poker with showing you cards to the opponents, now do you?
Fng amateur hour. Again. Never stops to amaze me.
Did you believe the these are the club management words or Telegraaf just want to make an article that will get attention
Well… Considering how incompetent all the management in Milan is… Yes. I do believe they have announced they’d sell him for 70M€ in a heartbeat.
Let’s be honest… Our management are no Beppe Marottas or Ariedo Braidas… Not even Maldinis. They’re as dumb as they come. They’re like The Trump of Milan. But even dumber.
STOP SELLING OUR MIDFIELDERS. IS IT ANY SURPRISE WE CANNOT BUILD UP PLAY WHEN WE KEEP SELLING MIDFIELDERS FOR FLASHY FORWARDS AND WINGERS?
Football Italia @foot… .3h . . There are reports Milan can sense the eagerness of Manchester City and Real Madrid to sign Tijjani Reijnders, pumping the asking price up to €90m.
Milan Eye @MilanEye 4h . Milan want more than €70M to sell Reijnders
[@MikeVerweij].
They will sell him sadly. Hopefully its 100mil +
Tijjani Reijnder is not for sale. Period
That comment will not age well. Mark my words. 🙂
Who from the club said they were willing to sell him for anything, let alone set a price? Where in this report are there quotes saying that they have set the price tag for TJ?
Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves for taking any credence to these reports unless Milan management of Fabrizio Romano comes out and says it.
According to my reports, Milan are selling TJ for 2 chickens and a cow. Relax people.
Sure thing. Let’s replace him with some guy from Vietnamese league. We’ll be playing with milan Futuro in seria D with these morons.
My betis we sell him for 50 million + 10-12 in bonuses.
An ownership with ambition to build on a longterm, to be competitive and win something would issue hands off warning for their key players. But not us.
Told you so.
As much as I like TJ ,sell him for the money and get A MORE AGGRESSIVE MIDFIELDER …..
Enemies of progress. You have one of the best performing midfielders in all of Europe and you’re saying to sell him for a Nigel De Jong?
Already have aggressive midfielder in Musa is that what you want from a midfielder
Management is absolutely brain dead, but even they have to realize if they did something as dumb as selling a pillar of the team rn, the ultras are literally gonna start showing up at their houses like the psg fans did. They are literally sitting in less than 0% faith from the fans. They have to scary actually fixing the problems they caused. If they actually tried a stunt like the tonali plan again and just sold tiji to buy a few mediocre players again, there would be literal riots
No, there wouldn’t. Settle down. Shevchenko and Kaka’ were sold by Berlusconi. The fans are planks like you lot.
aren’t planks.
Sure kiddo. Go see how the ultras react when it does
There was also article about Real Madrid interest .. the price must be around 90m€ and we are okey with it. But if he want to stay I would keep him
This is why we not bring the best 2 of 3 italians from serie A juves gatti or lazios Pelegrini tec… If we completely didn’t bringin to us chamions mentality and charisma we are not ACM smh and this is why case closed about selling TJ
Am not totally a compentent particular of scouting being pushing this idea to the limit so I push
Unfortunately we WILL sell Reindjers and our other core players. Gerry needs to break even and won’t show his investors a loss.
BUT does it really matter how MUCH we sell him for? First we are NOT a going to invest ALL the $$ back into the squad. Second, our management has no clue how to use that $$$. They will split it up on 5 “depth”players – cause we all know how well that worked for us on the past lol.
We are LOST. NO vision, NO project, incompetent management and an Owner who doesn’t care about winning titles and only sees us as an investment. SO don’t get your hopes up again lads, we are in this $h*t until Gerry sells the club and Elliot is finally gone as well. Both are cancers that need to be cut out.
