The AC Milan squad did not have too much time to celebrate the victory over Inter, at least not in Saudi Arabia, as they landed back in Italy this morning.
Lautaro Martinez and Mehdi Taremi put Inter 2-0 up in the Supercoppa Italiana final, but the Rossoneri roared back in stunning fashion. Second-half goals from Theo Hernandez, Christian Pulisic and Tammy Abraham – a 93rd-minute winner – captured a memorable 50th trophy for the club.
As MilanNews report, the Rossoneri team returned via an overnight flight from Riyadh and landed this morning at Malpensa airport. One after the other the players filed past the journalists present with Rafael Leao and Davide Calabria stopping to chat.
Calabria’s comments: “Bringing home the cup gives you this extra push to do well. Conceicao is a great coach, he immediately made it clear his desire to do well, his will, his determination, fundamental things to be able to win these trophies.”
Leao’s comments: “A team match, we all did a great job, we are very happy. When the coach arrived he brought us another energy as I said yesterday. We absolutely felt a change.”
✈️ The Supercoppa champions have just landed back in Italy! ❤️🖤

If Calabria leaves he can leave with his head held high, he’s been a more successful captain/vice captain than Montolivo. He sits 4th behind Maldini, Ambrosini and Abate for the most successful captain/vice captain for the past 20 years.
Montolivo being the captain was even more humiliating than seeing Emerson play as a starter.
He’s not leaving
as long as emerson is here the longer i want calabria first i wanted him gone but after we signed emerson wanted i him to renew the contract he could be a good sub against a better rb and emerson can either be the 3rd coice or play for futuro
I really hope Calabria doesn’t leave. It literally makes no sense on any level. He’s better than Emerson easily, he fills the homegrown quota, he doesn’t mind not starting every game. Bring in an actual quality RB and have him be the backup. It feels like the management is just being salty idiots who can’t admit they completely failed in signing emerson and are just hoping he comes good one day. Keep Davide, bin Royale, sign a starting quality RB
I literally agree…Emerson is not worth a Milan player. I really wonder how did Milan even consider a crap like this.
