Milan suffer double injury blow in Lazio defeat as Tomori and Calabria come off

By Oliver Fisher -

As if the 4-0 defeat against Lazio wasn’t bad enough, two players were forced off due to injury and both are members of the defensive department.

In the 23rd minute of the game centre-back Fikayo Tomori was forced off the pitch after suffering some discomfort that seemed to be around his hip region. He was replaced by Simon Kjaer, though it did not help the defensive effort as three more goals went in.

MilanNews also report that a few minutes from the end of the match Davide Calabria – after moving to intercept a shot from Basic – was struck by the Lazio midfielder who connected with him fully.

The right-back looked in serious pain for a few minutes came off the pitch feeling clearly very sore, struggling to put his right foot on the pitch. In the next few hours there will be checks done to assess what the problem is and the extent of it.

  1. Well… If injuries are what it takes for Pioli to fix the leaking defense, then injuries are just what we needed.

How about Kjaer & Gabbia as CBs and Dest nowhere f’ng near our own half ever again? And I hope Tatarusanu gets a f’Ng Covid or something so we wouldn’t play with an open net anymore.
