CM: Why Theo Hernandez is happy to snub PSG, Chelsea and Man City to renew with Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Theo Hernandez are soon expected to confirm the extension of their relationship together beyond the current contract deadline of 2024, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com reports that an agreement has been reached for the renewal of the Frenchman’s contract until 2026 with an option for another season and he will receive a salary of €4m net per season plus bonuses that are the final thing to be defined.

The report adds that Theo has never really taken into consideration offers from abroad with Manchester City, Chelsea and PSG all expressing an interest in signing him, because his focus has always been on Milan since arriving and getting the captain’s armband earlier in the month was a further sign of his importance and belonging.

Paolo Maldini has played an important role in this as he often talks with Theo, having been the man who flew out to Ibiza in 2019 to convince him to sign. Head coach Stefano Pioli has also ‘changed his life’ by Theo’s own admission, which in short proves he is happy with his life at Milan and is ready to extend.
