Report: Milan will move for Traore if Sanches deal falls through

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan will move for Sassuolo midfielder Hamed Junior Traore if they fail to sign Renato Sanches this summer, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Rossoneri are already making plans for if Sanches decides to join Paris Saint Germain from Lille rather than head to Italy.

The Rossoneri are still trying to get the Sanches deal over the line but the emergence of the French champions as a rival means they could be outbid very easily.

That means that the club must start to evaluate some other options and one of those is Sassuolo’s Traore.

He had a superb season in the last campaign, racking up seven goals and four assists from the Neroverdi midfield. He is also still just 22 years old meaning he would be an investment for the future.

Some Premier League sides are also interested in the Ivorian midfielder.

    1. Milan sees Renato Sanches as a n10. This season, especially in the 2nd part he played as an attacking midfielder for Lille.
Traore played mostly as a Left winger at Sassuolo but Milan want him to play the 10.
Obviously Traore is more attacking than Sanches but Sanches fits more what Pioli wants in a 10. He can create and defend.
It still doesn’t make sense because Traore probably costs more because Renato is in the last years of his contract
